NOA-Networks Overcoming Antisemitism Publishes New Guidelines on Fostering Jewish Life

On March 5, 2025, the NOA partners published the Guidelines for Fostering Jewish Life for Municipalities and Communities. The guidelines were created to facilitate the work of cities and municipalities in their dialogue with local Jewish communities and institutions. They aim to help support and promote Jewish life, heritage and culture throughout Europe.
Key Recommendations:
• Institutional Dialogue – Cities should establish permanent forums to engage Jewish communities in decision-making.
• Education & Awareness – Promote Jewish history and culture in schools, universities, and lifelong learning programs.
• Interfaith Collaboration – Support interreligious councils to encourage dialogue and shared initiatives.
• Cultural & Heritage Initiatives – Recognize Jewish contributions through festivals, urban cultural maps, and preservation projects.
• Security & Safety – Prioritize protection while fostering open, positive representations of Jewish life.
