Overcoming Antisemitism Train-the-Trainer – 23rd to 28th of February 2025, Berlin (NOA, English)

27/08/2024

CEJI opens applications for ‘Overcoming Antisemitism Train the Trainer’.

Jewish people continue to experience and encounter antisemitism on an almost continuous basis. Now, more than ever, it’s a crucial and urgent concern for all – both Jews and non-Jews – who wish to live in societies where discriminations are addressed and mitigated – to get trained and better equipped to combat and overcome antisemitism. Jewish communities have been enduring a noticeable rise in antisemitic incidents since October 7th. By enhancing our understanding and being better prepared, we can effectively stand against hatred and support affected communities.

The training will focus on educational methods to change prejudiced attitudes and discriminatory behaviours towards the Jewish community, aiming to foster Jewish life and promote inclusive and equitable societies. These new trainers will be equipped and serve as long-term resources for combating bias.

Date: 23-28 February
Location: Berlin
Language: English
Cost: 50€[1]

Admission Procedure: It is our goal to curate a diverse and cohesive group of trainers who will become vibrant parts of the NOA community in the future. Following the training, the trainers will receive coaching to develop their own sustainable local strategies. They will be expected to facilitate two workshops within the next year to be part of the NOA community, where each individual and organization contributes to fostering an inclusive and democratic Europe that supports thriving Jewish communities

What is the NOA Project?

Since 2020, NOA – Networks Overcoming Antisemitism, offers a holistic and pioneering approach to tackle the problem of rising antisemitism in Europe. With its unique partnership of major Jewish networks, it evaluates EU Member States’ policies across areas, from education to culture and security, and helps them to develop holistic national action plans to address and prevent antisemitism. In addition, the training component of the NOA Project engages CSOs with capacity-building resources to raise awareness of the phenomenon and its impact and equip educators with training and teaching tools that effectively counter antisemitic prejudice. NOA includes and covers governmental commitment, education policy, capacity building, and anti-bias narratives about Jews and Judaism

Training methodology

Participants in the Train-the-Trainer program will be encouraged to be active by sharing their own experiences, perspectives and opinions and will benefit from facilitation skills and receive information.
