Belgian Council Presidency Holds 12th Meeting of the High-Level Group on Combating Hate Speech and Hate Crime

CEJI met with other members of this High-Level Group to discuss the data and measures needed to respond to online hate speech, including a new IT Code of Conduct. It was also the opportunity for a delegation of the European Citizens Panel on tackling hatred in society, which CEJI assisted as part of the Knowledge Committee, to present their 21 recommendations.
This High-Level Group meeting illustrates the growing involvement of CSOs along with national authorities, international organisations, and EU agencies in the decision-making process, creating a pan-European space for collaboration and problem-solving. Read more here.
