CEJI Participates in Partners Meeting of New EU-funded “No Hate Police” Project

Melissa Sonnino, CEJI’s Facing Facts Network Director, took part in the first partners meeting of the No Hate Police project, coordinated by network member The Athens Lifelong Institute. The project convenes national police forces from Greece and Cyprus, European civil society organizations, and academia to develop curricula for police officers on in-person and online hate crimes. Underscoring CEJI’s commitment to this area, Ms. Sonnino presented Facing Facts’ extensive experience in developing an online learning platform for this target group.
Engaging with police forces on the topic of hate crimes is a constructive step toward combating the phenomenon. CEJI and the Facing Facts Network are proud to be playing a critical role in training European police in this area.
